How to Program a Toro GreenKeeper Control Box for a Sprinkler System
The Toro GreenKeeper 212 timer controls the start time, duration and day of irrigation activation. The GreenKeeper controls consist of a dial on the left side of the panel, a program switch, buttons on the right side and an LCD screen. The timer supports up to 12 programmable stations, three watering programs and season run times. The timer also features odd and even day schedule programming, calendar programming for individual days of the week and interval programming.
Twist the GreenKeeper knob clockwise to the “Current Time/Day” position to set the time and date. The “Hours” field on the display blinks. Press the “Up” or “Down” button to select the current time. Press “Next” to advance to the “Minutes” field. Use the “Up” or “Down” button to set the current minute and press “Next.” Press the “Up” or “Down” button to scroll to the current day. After the time and date are set correctly, twist the knob to “Run.”

Twist the GreenKeeper timer knob to “Watering Days.” Select a program using the “Program” switch and press “Next.” “Su” blinks and the set schedule for Sunday appears. Press “On” to add Sunday to the watering day schedule or press “Off” to remove it from the schedule. The display highlights the following day. Continue to use the “On” or “Off” button to schedule each day until all seven days of the week are scheduled. Twist the knob to “Run.”

Press the “Up” or “Down” button until the desired interval appears and press “Next.” The start day blinks. Press the “Up” or “Down” button until the desired day appears. Twist the knob to “Run.”

Press the “Up” or “Down” button to select the desired hour and press “Next.” Press the “Up” or “Down” button to select the desired minute and press “Next.” Twist the knob to “Run.”
Twist the knob to “Station Times,” select the desired program and press “Next.” Press the “Up” or “Down” button to set the run time or duration of the watering session. Press “Next” and twist the knob to “Run.”
