Step 1
Place the tractor on a flat surface so it the tractor will not fall over once it is lifted up.
Step 2
Slide a jack under the engine frame. If you have a tractor lift, place it under the tractor's front bumper. Jack up or lift the tractor so that the damaged tire is off the ground.
Step 3
Pop the rubber axle cover off the center of the wheel with a flat screwdriver. If it has been a while since it has been popped off, this might take a few seconds.
Step 4
Unscrew the bolt with a 3/8-inch wrench. A washer and retaining ring will fall behind the bolt.
Step 5
Remove the tire from the axle.
Step 6
Pry the tire off the wheel with a flat screwdriver by applying pressure with the screwdriver's head in between the tire and wheel.
Step 7
Slide the new tire on the wheel once you pop the damaged tire off.
Step 8
Push the new tire and wheel onto the axle. Slide the washer and retaining ring over the axle.
Step 9
Screw the bolt over the retaining ring with the wrench. Place the rubber axle cover over the bolt.
Step 10
Lower the jack or tractor lift.
